Yvette P. Thibodeau Obituary (1918 - 2006)

Waterville Yvette P. Thibodeau, 88, died Friday, May 05, 2006 at MaineGeneral Med. Ctr. Thayer Unit in Waterville. She was born in Waterville, May 2, 1918, the daughter of Amedee and Jeneria Vachon Giguere. She had attended a boarding school in Jackman and Mt. Merici Academy in Waterville. She had worked as a packer for Keyes Fiber Co. for 35 years. Mrs. Thibodeau loved and enjoyed her grandchildren. She also loved traveling and good food. She was predeceased by her parents; her step-mother, Emma Giguere who raised her; a daughter, Nancy Boutin; a half-brother, Lucien Bouffard; and by a close friend, Harry Nutt. She is survived by a son, David Thibodeau of the Philippines; a daughter Linda Gero and her husband Allen of Waterville with whom she had lived with for the last eight years; 18 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and by a nephew, Bruce Bouffard of Winslow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wed., May 10, at Sacred Heart Church, 70 Pleasant St., Waterville. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Grove St., Waterville. It was Mrs. Thibodeau's request that flowers be omitted instead make donations in her memory to Sisters Servants of the Blessed Sacrament, 101 Silver St., Waterville, ME 04901.
