WATERVILLE, ME. Wayne Joseph Forbus, 68, died at home unexpectedly on the morning of December 27th, 2020. \r\n\r\nWayne was born November 11th, 1952, the son of Roland C. Forbus, and Pauline (Cody) Forbus. Wayne was enlisted in the United States Navy from October 19th, 1971 - September 4th, 1975. He was an employee at Madison Paper Industries for many years until he retired. \r\n\r\nWayne enjoyed fishing, reading, and writing in his spare time. He and his family spent summers camping and spending time together. He was a family man who was loyal, gentle and kind to everyone, earning him the nickname Gentle Ben. He was a loving husband to Marie, as well as a caring father to their son. \r\n\r\nHe was predeceased by his mother and father, and sister Kelly Forbus.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife of 43 years Marie Forbus, his son Ben Forbus, and grandson Mason. Wayne also leaves behind sisters Barbara Roy, Jean Forbus, Shelly Ricker and Julie Forbus. \r\n\r\nIn accordance with Waynes wishes, there will be no public services. \r\n\r\nArrangements are under the direction and care of Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm Street, Waterville.
