Winslow -- Veronica "Ronni" Soule passed away on Fri., May 15, 2015 at the age of 91. Born the daughter of John and Mary Ciszek Gondela on Apr. 6, 1924, in Winslow. Veronica was a graduate of Winslow High School and later Thomas College. She was employed by Houle's Plumbing and Heating of Waterville for 25 years, serving as Office Manager. Ronni was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Dana, who she was happily married to for 57 years, two brothers, Felix and Teddy Gondela and her sister, Stella O'Malley. She is survived by her four children, John and his wife Anne, Peggy LaVerdiere and husband Steve, David and wife Mary and Steve and his life partner Ann Bates. Along with being a loving mother, she also was a devoted grandmother of Michael Soule and his wife Pam, Karen Willett and her husband Jamie, Jessie Lindquist and her husband Matt and Kristen Gilley and her husband Brandon. Veronica was the great grandmother of Drew and Landon Lindquist, Reid and Cam Willett and Elianna and Aaron Soule. Also surviving is special friend, Lindsay Bates. After retirement, Ronni took on many new roles; babysitting grandchildren, working to keep her home well landscaped and volunteering at Maine General Hospital. All brought her great satisfaction. She was a member of the Waterville Shorthand Club, a group which met monthly to continue the art of Shorthand writing, led by Kay Grindall, a true friend, who kept her mind active. The family would like to thank her extraordinary friend, Pat Marin, who spent countless hours helping Ronni and providing her with memories and laughter. Veronica and her family also wish to express heartfelt gratitude to the staffs at Woodlands and Lakewood for their excellent care. Both staffs shared many laughs and memories with her. Upon our mother's request, there will be no visiting hours. A graveside service and burial will be held at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Waterville at a later date. Veronica will join her mother, father, brother, sister and husband. Arrangements are with Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. Veronica leaves this life having "always strived for perfection". It was her request that friends donate to the Maine Parkinson Society, 359 Perry Road, Bangor, ME 04401 or www.maineparkinsonsociety.org. This cause was very close to her heart, since she and her late husband had Parkinson's. She spent many hours working in her flower gardens and would smile from above if people planted Parkinson tulips in the Soule family memory
