Waterville Theresa V. Roderick, had her 84th birthday on the 9th of March, died Thurs., Mar. 18, 2010 at Mount St. Joseph in Waterville. She was born in Waterville, March 9, 1926 the daughter of Adolphe and Angelina Tanguay Veilleux. Mrs. Roderick retired after 20 years of working at Keyes Fibre Co. She was a giving person and planned family gatherings. She loved cooking fudge and toutiere pies. She enjoyed candle pin bowling and was a former New England champion. She also enjoyed crocheting and playing cards. She was a member of the Heart of Maine Square Dancers. She and her husband wintered in Florida for several years and enjoyed traveling around in the United States in their motor home. She took great pleasure in her grandkids. She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish. Mrs. Roderick was predeceased by her parents; brothers and sisters, Conrad, Ernest and Roland Veilleux, Lillian LeBrasseur, Marietta Thomas and Florien Vigue. Survivors include her husband, Donald Roderick of Waterville; her children and their spouses, Donna Noel and David of Oakland, Marc Roderick and Kay of Vassalboro, Carla Carter and Joseph of Fairfield, and Paula Rowe and Robert of PA.; two sisters, Madeline Vashon of Augusta and Simone Vachon of Waterville; a sister-in-law, Muriel Vigue of Waterville; grandchildren and their spouses, Todd Noel and Janis, Terry Morrissette and Mark, Michael Roderick and Melissa, James Roderick, Tia Timmins and Eric, Robbie Rowe, Enica, Erick, and Ervin Csillan; 11 greatgrandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a thank you to the nursing staff on the second floor at Mount St. Joseph for their many considerations on their behalf. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tues. , Mar. 30, 2010 at Notre Dame Church, 112 Silver St., Waterville. Burial will be at a later date in the new Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road in Augusta. Arrangements are with the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville.
