Shirley Mae Handley

Fairfield Shirley Mae Handley, 70, of Norridgewock Road, went Home to be with the Lord Sat., Mar. 26, 2005 at MaineGeneral Med. Ctr. in Waterville. She was born at home in Winslow, June 8, 1934, the daughter of Charles and Ida Mae McNamara Crowe. She was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church in Madison. She was married and divorced from the love of her life, Addison Handley. She was a member of the Norridgewock Grange and the Norridgewock Historical Society. She enjoyed doing jail ministry, and being Miss Beasley at Calvary Church. She loved working in her flower garden and vegetable garden barefoot. She loved her pets. Shirley would never say ''I can't help you''. Shirley worked for years at Lipman Brothers and retired from Solon Manufacturing as a safe worker. She'll always be remembered for her loving, kindness and helping others. She was predeceased by her mother and father; sister, Beverly Crowe Calden; grandson, Andre Charles Paquet. She is survived by her siblings Vernon Crowe and his wife Debbie of Norridgewock, Vivian Gail Chase of Fairfield, Leonard Crowe and his wife Penny of Carmel; by her church family; her children, Anthony Handley of Auburn, John Handley of Fairfield, and Beatrice Barry of Albion; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Freinds and relatives may visit from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Mar. 28, 2005 at the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Calvary Pentecostal Church, 362 Old Point Ave., Madison with Rev. Tim Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Sunset View Cemetery in Norridgewock at a later date.
