Waterville - Ronald Roy King of Waterville passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, March 6, 2021 to be reunited with his loving wife Lorraine. \r\nRonald was born in Waterville May 20,1926 to Violet Fecteau of Waterville and Godfrey Roy King of Winslow.\r\nRonald King served our country in the US Army in the artillery detachment as a Field Wireman Chief for communications.\r\nAfter leaving the Army, Ron married the love of his life Lorraine Daigneault. Besides his wife, Ron's passions were fishing, mineral and gem collecting. Through the years Ronald and Lorraine traveled to various states to mine for these gems. Ron's vast mineral and gem collection was donated to the Kennebec Rock Hounder Club. It is here that a display will be dedicated in Ron's honor.\r\nRon was predeceased by his Wife Lorraine, Mother, Violet Fecteau Roy and Father, Godfrey Roy King, Sister-in-law and Husband Elaine and Wayne Getchell of Waterville, Sister-in-law Germaine LaCroix Daigneault of Winslow, Brother-in law Franklin Ouellette of Winslow and Sister-in-law Rina Daigneault of Oakland.\r\nRonald leaves behind Mike Albert of Waterville who he often referred to as his Son, dear friend Ron LaPage of Waterville, Brother-in laws Ricky Daigneault of Winslow and Ronald Daigneault of Oakland, Sister-in -law Gloria Daigneault Ouellette of Florida, four Goddaughters, Lisa Getchell LeClair of Winslow, Carol Daigneault Fredette of Winslow, Karen Daigneault of Florida, Donna Dionne of Vassalboro and several nieces and nephews.\r\nA Catholic service will be held on March 25, 2021 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 116 Silver Street, Waterville on at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Ronald's name to the Humane Society of Waterville, 100 Webb Road, Waterville, Maine 04901.
