Winslow Richard R. Doucette, 83, of Fuller Drive, died early Sat., Sept. 26, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Waterville, Jan. 24, 1926, the son of Paul and Clara Beauregard. He was a veteran of WW II. He had made paper for Scott Paper Co. for several years. He was a member of the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus #148, and a former member of the League of Sacred Heart. He enjoyed woodworking and watching the Red Sox. He was predeceased by his wife, Jeannette E. Cote Doucette; his parents; a brother, Arthur Doucette; four sisters, Adrienne Fortier, Gertrude Hachey, Martha Jacobs and Corinne Dostie. He is survived by two sons, Paul Doucette of Winslow and Richard A. Doucette of North Berwick; a sister, Dora St. Pierre of Waterville; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, 2009 at the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tues., Sept. 29, 2009 at Notre Dame Church, 112 Silver St. in Waterville with Rev. Dan Baillargeon officiating. Committal prayers with Military Honors will follow in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Grove St., Waterville. Donations in his memory may be made to St. John Catholic School, 15 So.
