Noella J. Rioux Obituary (1928 - 2012)

Noella J. Rioux 83 died Friday morning at Westgate Manor in Bangor, Maine with family by her side. She was born in Winslow, Maine on December 26, 1928 the daughter of Patrick and Beatrice Ferland Rossignol. She was educated in Winslow Schools and was a graduate of Winslow High School class of 1947. She married the love of her life , Robert J. Rioux on April 23, 1949. She was fond of going for meals every day at either "Big G's Restaurant, Belanger's or at Don's 107. She is survived by her husband, 2 sons: Bruce Rioux of Burlington, Vermont and Dwayne Rioux and wife Diane of Winslow. 2 daughters: Doreen White and husband Bruce of Waterville, and Gail Allen of Pittsfield. 1 brother: Raymond Rossignol and wife Theresa of Winslow and 1 sister: Gloria Collins of Winslow and 1 sister-in-law : Amanda Rossignol of Winslow. Also by 4 grandchildren: Heidi Hinton and husband Tim of Vassalboro, Jason Rioux and wife Trina of Colorado, Emily Vincent and husband Seth of Auburn and Brother Sebastian White, O.P. of Washington, D.C. 4 great-grandchildren: Brady and Jackson Vincent, Adilynn Rioux and Olivia Grace Hinton. And many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother: Robert Rossignol and her brother-in-law Lionel Collins. The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at Westgate Manor in Bangor for all their help and assistance. A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Notre Dame Church 112 Silver Street Waterville. There will be light refreshments after Mass in the church hall. Committal prayers and burial will take place at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery Mt. Vernon Road in Augusta.
