Winslow. Mildred Grace Breton Roy, 80 of Winslow, passed away Sat. afternoon, Aug. 2, 2014 at Inland Hospital in Waterville surrounded by her children. Mille, as she liked to be called, was born Aug. 15, 1933 to Joseph and Ida May Giroux Breton of Winslow. She also went by the name of Mel, Mil, or Mimi. Growing up, she was the youngest of three daughters. Millie and her two sisters, Cecile and Jackie remained best friends throughout their life. On Sept. 5, 1955 Millie married Ronald M. Roy at St. John's in Winslow. She and Ronald remained married for 48 years till his passing in 2003. Millie worked side by side with her husband in his private law practice as a legal secretary from 1962 to 2002. During this time she was also a beloved mother raising six children. Millie had worked for the State of Maine in the Sales Tax Division. She worked in the Administrative Dept. of Philadelphia Bulletin. She also worked in the Bookkeeping Dept. at the Morning Sentinel. Millie had a full life and always shared a smile and a laugh with others. She loved her roles as wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt and shared her love generously with her family and friends. She loved dining out and took many trips to Boothbay and Owls Head. She also enjoyed travel, visiting New York, San Diego, Canada, Paris and Italy. She loved time spent with her grandchildren and watching them grow. Millie was always there for "the 4 o'clock toast". She was educated at St. John's School and Mount Merici Academy. She was a member of Alumnae Association of Mount Merici and National Association of Legal Secretaries. Millie loved her family and she was loved as well as respected by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Roy of Winslow, Denise Gidney and husband Ben of Vassalboro; Patrice Roy and partner Donna Mrowka of Scottsdale, AZ, Renee Green and husband Gene of Manchester; Diana Lalime and husband Steve of Winslow, Gregory Roy and wife Shannon of Winslow; sisters, Cecile Gagne Pasha of Waterville and Jackie Grenier of Winslow; sister-in-law, Glenette Monahan of Oakland; four grandchildren, Zackary Roy of Fairfield, Sydney, William and Gabrielle Green of Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 A.M. Monday, Aug. 11, 2014 at Notre Dame Parish, 116 Silver St., Waterville. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 78 Grove St., Waterville.
