Waterville Mildred J. Gagnon, 97, of Waterville, died Wed. Dec. 29, 2010 at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville. She was born in Lac Magantic, Canada, Oct. 18, 1913, the daughter of Leonidus and Rose Bazinet Gagnon. She was a member of the Union St. Jean Baptist Society and the Parish of the Holy Spirit. She was a high school graduate of class 1931 and also a graduate of Thomas Business College. She was predeceased by her parents; three brothers, Armand J. Rudolph and Henry Gagnon; a half-brother, Ernest Gagnon; a sister, Irene M. Gagnon Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Marie Gagnon of Winslow and Violet Taranna of AZ.; special nephews, Henry Gagnon and wife Susan of Winslow and their children Matthew Gagnon and wife Nikki of TX and Rachel and Melanie, Michael Gagnon and wife Kathy of AZ., and David Gagnon and wife Colette of R.I.; and also by other nieces and nephews in Sherbrook, P.Q., Canada. Visiting hours for family members only will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011 at the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Mon. Jan. 3rd at St. Francis de Sales Church, 52 Elm St., Waterville with Rev. Dan Baillargeon officiating. Burial will follow in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Grove St., Waterville.
