Winslow Micheline M. Lemieux, 67, died peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009 at her residence with her devoted husband by her side. She was born in Piopolis, Quebec, Canada, Aug. 16, 1941 the daughter of late Aristide and Colette Morel Martel. She was a high school graduate. Mrs. Lemieux loved flowers, garden work and birds. She took great pride being a homemaker and taking care of her husband. She was a communicate of St. John the Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Aime M. Lemieux of Winslow; a sister, Odette Martel of Sherbrooke, Canada; brothers and their spouses, Yvan Martel and Micheline Leblanc of Contrecoeur, Canada, Alain Martel and Gabrielle Lessard of Montreal, Canada,and Lucie Poisson spouse of the late Pierre Martel of Drummondville, Canada; nieces, Marie-Josee Martel, Nancy Martel and Johanne Turcotte; nephews, David, Remy, Alexandre, Guillaume, and Jean-Sebastien Martel. The family would like to express thanks to HealthReach Hospice for their help and assistance during her illness. Visiting hours will be held 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2009 at the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Sat., Jan. 17, 2009 at St. John the Baptist Church, 26 Monument St., Winslow. Burial will in the spring in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Waterville.
