Maxine E. Rines 92, passed away Monday August 24, 2015 at Oak Grove Nursing Facility in Waterville, Maine. She was born in Pittsfield, Maine on October 14, 1922 the daughter of George and Ellen Stewart Palmer. She was educated in local schools and was a Pittsfield High School graduate. Maxine was employed by the Lockwood-Duchess Mill here in Waterville for several years as a weaver and then went on to employment with Keyes Fiber Co. where she worked for several years as a packer. She was predeceased by her parents and her beloved husband Basil Rines who passed away on February 16, 2014., and two brothers Charles and Fred Palmer. She is survived by her two daughters: JoAnn Hogan and husband Edward of Salem New Hampshire and Anette Lovejoy and husband Theodore of Winslow, Maine. A brother: Andrew Palmer of Benton, Maine and a sister: Avis Haines of Winslow, Maine. Also by six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. There will be no public visitation and a chapel service for both Maxine and husband Basil will be held Tuesday September 1, 2015 at 1 P.M. at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery Mount Vernon Road in Augusta with burial to follow.
