Martha M. Rogers

Martha M. Rogers, 96, died May 8, 2013 at Lakewood in Waterville. She was born in North Vassalboro, May 9, 1916, the daughter of George and Adelaide Grenier Vigue. Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Rosary Sodality at Sacred Heart. She enjoyed playing Bingo. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Harry L. Rogers; grandson, Michael Savarin of Memphis, TN.; sisters and brothers, Christine Burgess, Rose Peverada, Madeline Marcoux, Malvina Cox, Pauline Chase, George, Donald, and Norman Vigue; and also by a son-in-law, Robert Ferland. She is survived by two daughters, Faylene Ferland of Waterville and Eleanor Savarin and husband Joseph of Memphis, TN.; a brother, Richard Vigue of Texas; two sisters, Theresa Potelle and Joan Deschaine both of Winslow; a grandson, Chuck Godin and a great-grandson, Nicholas Godin both of Calif. The family extends a thank you to Lakewood staff and doctors for all their help and assistance. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, May 17, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Church, 26 Monument St., Winslow. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta. Donations in Martha Roger's memory may be made to the American Heart Assoc., P.O.
