Maria Diane Russell

Maria Russell, 59 of Winslow, died September 4th, 2021 at her home. She was born September 6th, 1961. While she medically retired in 2012, Maria had a passion for customer service. While at work she displayed a fantastic sense of humor and brought smiles to everyone she interacted with. She loved her family, friends, cooking, animals, music and movies. Maria was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Russell and son Kenneth Russell II. She is survived by her daughter Lisa Bernadini and husband Michael of Clinton, son Sam Helsel and wife Shaina of Chelsea, daughter Nikki Helsel of Newport, mother Margaret Bailey of Richmond, sister Rhonda McGowan of Richmond, several grandchildren including, Malia, Zane, Michael, Annalee and Violet, several nieces and nephews and many special friends. Maria was a very kind and loving woman who often thought of others before herself and her loss will be felt by all who knew her. A special thank you to her family Dr. Charles Kriegel for his kindness and care. At Maria's request, there will be no services. Arrangements are with Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm Street, Waterville. The family thanks them for their kindness. In lieu of flowers, please provide donations to your local Humane Society as Maria was a strong supporter of animals and the Humane Society mission.
