Winslow Leonce ''Lee'' Bizier, 82, of Winslow died Dec. 24, 2010 at the Maine Veterans Home in Augusta after a long and brave battle with cancer and a chronic lung infection. He was born Sept. 13, 1928 in Winslow son of Dominique and Alice Fontaine Bizier. Lee was educated at St. John's Parochial School, graduated from Winslow High School in 1947, and received his degree from Thomas Business College. Lee proudly served in the Korean War from 1950 to 1952. He was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division. He worked for 25 years as a partner in the family owned ''Bizier Construction'' business as home builders. He retired in 1989 as president of the company, due to ill health. He loved family gatherings, traveling and card playing. He also enjoyed nature in all its splendor. He served as an Eucharistic Minister for many years. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Assoc., CCD teacher and volunteered on many school and church committees. He was also a life member of the American Legion Post 005, V.F.W. post 8835 and K.C. Council 7300. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Marius Bizier. He is survived by his loving wife, Bernadette Veilleux Bizier whom he married Aug. 2, 1952 at Notre Dame Church in Waterville; two sons, Kevin Bizier and wife Beth of Madison, N.H. and Jeffrey Bizier and wife Windy of Bedford, MA; daughter, Andrea Roberts of Acton; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Nicole, Jacob, Michelle, Megan, Rodney, Samantha and Dominique; 4 great-grandchildren, Chyanne, Sklar, Dominic and Ethan; 2 brothers, Reginald Bizier and wife Dollis of Winslow and Clement Bizier and wife Patricia of Fairfax, VA; sister, Mariette Roy and husband Edward of Winslow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Fri., Dec. 31, 2010 at St. John the Baptist Church, 26 Monument St., Winslow with Rev. Phillip Tracy officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
