Please include the photo and the American flag. Oakland-- Joseph Donald Giguere 75, died Tues. Feb. 24, 2015 at Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. He was born in Waterville, Oct. 30, 1939, the son of Alfred and Merilda Bourque Giguere. Joseph was a Waterville High School graduate and attended Thomas College. Joseph served in the U.S. Army. He had worked at the Morning Sentinel and Pine State Co. before going to work at Digital Equipment where he retired as a Production Supervisor. Joseph was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved taking Timmy to Pee Wee Hockey. He enjoyed camping, fishing , off track betting, sports especially hockey and football. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Clarence Giguere. Joseph is survived by his wife, Gloria Joslyn Giguere of Oakland; children, Valerie Giguere of Wells, Tim and Althea Giguere of Waterville, Donald Giguere and friend Seth "Zack" Kapp of Arundel, Kelley and Duane Cloutier of Clinton, Laurie and Bruce Abbott of Industry, Dawna and Frank Kent, Jr. of Vassalboro; grandchildren, Megan and Nick Bacon, Racheal and Davis McKenney, Jenna Nesbit and Kenny Watson, Jacob Noyes, Jayme and Tom Kent, and Nicholas Cloutier; great-grandchildren, Kaydence, Lydia, Liam and Owen; brother, Armand Giguere of Texas; sister, Jeannine DeRosby of Waterville; special brothers-in-law and best friends, Gabby and George. Visiting hours will be held from 2 -4 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. Sunday, Mar. 1, 2015 at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Monday, Mar. 2, 2015 at Sacred Heart Church, 70 Pleasant St., Waterville. Burial will be in the spring in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Waterville.
