Renee LaCroix Roy Whitish went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday July 1st 2011. Renee was born in Waterville on September 9th 1936 and was the daughter of Cyril J. LaCroix and Yvonne Talbot LaCroix. Renee attended school at Sacred Heart Academy and graduated from Waterville High School 1n 1954. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max S. Whitish of Fennimore Wisconsin. Since accepting Christ as her personal savior, she developed a heart for mission work. She completed seven courses from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, and three and a half years of courses at the United Christian Church and Ministerial Association in Cleveland, Tennessee, receiving a Certificate of Ministry. She also attended classes at Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas. Her ministries included Bethany Acres in Winthrop, Maine, The Salvation Army of Waterville, and the Christian Youth Faith Ranch in Jewett, Ohio. She also spent time volunteering at the Red Cross, Seton and Thayer Hospital, Waterville Hospice, and Rape Crisis. Renee was instrumental in organizing and running "The Lamb's Clothes Closet" at the First Baptist Church of Fairfield. Renee is survived by five children, Patricia Gray and her husband Doug of Orrington, Rick Whitish of Royston, Georgia, Tim Whitish and his wife Cathy of Fairfield Center, Ted Whitish of Hazelton, Pennsylvania, and Paula Palladino and her husband Dan of Destin, Florida. She has fourteen Grandchildren, Michelle Brown, Sherry Proulx, Ben Whitish, Christal Langley, Josiah Whitish, Tiffany Taylor, Erin Whitish, Max Whitish, Oliver Gallant, Jonathan Gallant, Jhami Whitish, Angela Whitish, Jennifer Guerette, Nichole Guerette, and 12 Great-Grandchildren. In addition her roommate of 15 years, Diane McKechnie. Visiting hours will be held at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville Thursday July 7th from 2 to 4 p.m. with a celebration of life from 7 to 9 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Matchpoint Partners, P.O.
