Gloria A. Hanson

Farmington-Gloria A. Hanson, 76 of Farmington, and formerly of Waterville, died Friday evening, December 2, 2016 at Franklin Memorial Hospital, Farmington.

Gloria Ann Guidi was born on June 23, 1940, in Springfield, Massachusetts, to Florence Lissee (Basile). She was adopted by her stepfather Joseph Guidi and grew up with her sister Carol. She graduated from Cathedral High School. She had three children by her first marriage to Roger Fournier, and two in her second to Hilton Hanson. In her later years she became progressively weaker due to muscular dystrophy. She lived with her longtime caregiver of 17 years, Louis Dubois.
Gloria enjoyed cooking, knitting, and collecting recipe books. She enjoyed social activities like church and bingo. For many years she was an active member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Gloria was predeceased by her parents, Florence and Joseph Guidi, and her youngest son, Hilton Hanson II.
She is survived by her sister Carol Sencabaugh (son John) of Pittston, Maine; children, Roger Fournier and his wife Kathy (son Branden and daughter Raven) of Westfield, MA, Wayne Fournier and his wife Sue (son Adam) of Westfield, MA, Barbi Clark and her husband Tim (son Max) of Wesley Chapel, Fl, Lucy Lowry and her husband Brian (daughter Christina and son Eric) of Inverness, FL.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 9 at 11 AM with prayers at 11:30 AM at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm Street, Waterville, Maine, burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Grove Street, Waterville
