Glenna Marie Gervais 84, died Saturday July 15, 2017 at Gray Birch Long Term Care Facility\r\n in Augusta, Maine with her loving family by her side.\r\n\r\nGlenna was born in Waterville, Maine on June 29, 1933, the daughter of Alphonse\r\nand Margaret (Bourgoin) Collette, both deceased. \r\n She attended Waterville High School, and graduated from Cony High School in Augusta.\r\n\r\nShe worked at many places over the years, including the Airport Restaurant, the White Cloud Laundry, and the Hathaway, but the job she was most proud of were her years spent nursing at the Osteopathic and Thayer Hospitals in Waterville.\r\nGlenna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved to make others happy with her jokes, singing and was affectionately called the "Candy Lady".\r\n\r\nGlenna was pre-deceased by her brother Roger Collette, her sister Rita Roy and her husband Leonel Gervais. \r\nGlenna is survived by her daughter and her husband Julie and Kevin Clark of Augusta, Maine, her son and his wife Glenn and Tracey Gervais of Jefferson, Maine, three grandchildren Abigail Clark, Arianna and Derek Gervais, several step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.\r\nThere will be no public visitation. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Church, 116 Silver Street Waterville, Maine. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Grove Street Waterville, Maine. \r\nIn lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association in Glenna's name. \r\n Arrangements were made through the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm Street Waterville, Maine.
