Gisele Rose Marie Bourassa

Gisele Rose Marie Bourassa 83 died Sunday evening at the Maine Veterans Home in Augusta with her family at her side. She was born in Augusta, Maine on August 12, 1931 the daughter of Antonio and Irene Bisson Beland. She formerly owned and operated a home daycare for children for over 20 years and enjoyed working with young children. She also enjoyed watching Winslow High School football games and the New England Patriots games and loved to spend time with her husband Lawrence and with grandchildren Crystal Lynn, Amber Jo, Clay Lawrence and Rachel. She is survived by her son: Andrew Bourassa and wife Tina of Winslow; her daughter: Ann Marie McCarthy and husband Jonathan of Winslow. Also by 5 brothers: Ronald Beland and wife Jeannine of Augusta, Reginald Beland and wife Fern of Belfast, Larry Beland and wife Jeannine of Augusta, Norman Beland and wife Franny of Conn. And Romeo Beland of Maryland. 2 sisters: Juliette Rudnickie and husband Ted of Bangor and Aliette Couturier and husband Ronald of Lewiston and her sister- in- law Lorette Beland of Augusta Also by 3 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Lawrence R. Bourassa who passed away on April 7, 2001, her brothers: Gerard and Armand Beland, her sister Lucille Beland , granddaughter: Rachel McCarthy and sister-in-law Wanda Beland. There will be no public visitation and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 A.M. Friday Nov. 7, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Church Monument Street Winslow. Committal prayers will be recited at church and burial will be private.
