Waterville, ME - It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce that Ernest E. Moulton has passed from this world to the next on March 8, 2023 with his wife by his side.\nBorn and raised in Rome, Maine he was the son of Earl E. Moulton and Doris M. (Witham) Kinney.\nErnest worked at Hammond Lumber and various shoe shops. He retired from Gifford Railroad after 20+ years. Ernest was very proud to have served as a U.S. Marine.\nHe enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren Michael, Alysa and Evan, word search books, hunting, fishing, shooting his bow, guns and the outdoors.\nErnest was a wonderful husband, devoted and loving father and Pepere. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Jean Anne (Quirion) Moulton, stepson Matthew L. Simon, stepdaughter Samantha I. Evans and her husband, Jason. Grandchildren Michael T. Evans, Alysa Evans; Evan Simon.\nBrothers Kevin Kinney and his wife Jen, Scott Kinney and his wife Sue. Sister-in-law Susan Ireland and her husband, Wayne and several nieces and nephews.\nHe was predeceased by his parents and sister Wanda Thomas.\nA graveside ceremony will be held at 12PM, Monday, May 15, 2023 at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta, Maine 04330.
