Waterville - Eleanor Mary Larracey Puls was born in Waterville, Maine on July 2, 1923. Eleanor died, in her home surrounded by her children, on May 28, 2022. She was a lifelong resident of Waterville, graduated from Waterville schools, attended Thomas College and held a number of jobs in the area including at City Hall, the airport, and the Maine Board of Registration in Medicine. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church.\r\n\r\nEleanor was the daughter of Willis J. Larracey and Ethel Mae Carey Larracey. She enjoyed a marriage of over 30 years with James A. Puls (deceased). Together they raised five children, James (Mary) of Walpole, NH, Donna Caron of Benton, William (Mary Jean) of Keene, NH, Barbara Puls (MIchael Tucker) of Waterville and Mary Ellen Puls (deceased). She is survived by her brother Willis Larracey of Natick, MA.\r\n\r\nEleanor enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at camp, as well as reading, listening to music, knitting and crocheting. Eleanor had 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. \r\n\r\nEleanor loved life. She was always ready to try new things, to travel, to play games with her youngest family members. Her support for her children was without limit. Her positive approach to life set a model for her children. She found something good and valuable in everyone she met. Spending time with Eleanor was a rare pleasure and she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
