Winslow -- Dorothy M. Mosher, 89, of Winslow passed away peacefully Dec. 11, 2014 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born Aug. 10, 1925 in West Roxbury, MA. The daughter of Charles Callahan and Marion Ronan Callahan. She grew up in Dorchester, MA. along with two brothers and three sisters which she helped care for. Her mother died at an early age, which meant going to work to help support her family. It was during that time that she met and married the love of her life, Robert Mosher and shared 60 plus years together raising five daughters. He retired from the military and moved to Maine where they resided on Snow Pond in Oakland. She was a wonderful cook and baker and loved to have all of her family together to cook for. She was known for her spaghetti and meatballs and her many varieties of home- made bread. She was predeceased by her loving husband Bob along with her parents, brothers and sisters. She is survived by her five daughters and their husbands, Judy and Larry Belanger of Fairfield, Jean and Patrick Casey of Clinton, Joan and Mark Clement of Fairfield, Robbie and Normand Laverriere of Clinton and Denise and Ron Chamberlain of Waterville. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thank you to Juanita, Mainely Elder Care and all the other caregivers who provided excellent care for her in her time of need. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy's memory may be made to a charity of your choice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 at Notre Dame Church, 116 Silver St., Waterville. A luncheon will follow in the church hall. Burial will be in the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta at a later date.
