Oakland - Donna B. Roderick Noel, 68, of Oakland died suddenly Saturday, May 30th, 2015 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, surrounded by her family. She was born in Waterville May 20th 1947 to Donald and Theresa Veilleux Roderick. Donna was a 1966 graduate of Waterville High School. She leaves behind her loving husband of 48 years, David; her son Todd Noel and wife Janis of Oakland, her daughter Terry Morisette and husband Mark of Oakland; her grandchildren Lindsey and Seth Noel, and Ellie and Chad Morisette; brother Marc Roderick and wife Raquel, sisters Carla Carter and husband Joseph, and Paula Rowe and husband Robert; and a large extended family. She was predeceased by her parents. Donna was considered a friend by many, and had a personality that attracted people to her. She was vibrant and outgoing and had a love for life. Those who knew her loved her. Her greatest joy and source of pride was her family. Each one of her grandchildren was her favorite in one way or another. She would say, "They are all so different and so special." She also adored her "grand-dogs" and always had a little treat for them when they were around. Donna enjoyed travelling with her husband and their friends and fondly recalled all the sights they took in on their many cruises and cross country road trips. She was an avid reader and more recently became hooked on audio books which were perfect for her road trips to Hollywood Casino. Donna also loved the times when the family could get together either for a holiday or just a summer BBQ by the pool. She loved her flowers, watching the birds, lobsters, and shopping with her granddaughters. For many years, she was an Eucharistic Minister at Notre Dame and spent time volunteering at the Sacred Heart Soup Kitchen. Donna was overflowing with compassion and generosity, especially with family and friends. As an outlet, she went out of her way to help anyone she could, often times without their knowledge so they would feel no obligation. Donna gave with an open heart and her example will live on in her children. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 A.M. Friday, June 5, 2015, at Notre Dame, 116 Silver St., Waterville. In memory of Donna, her family requests that you continue her legacy by taking time to anonymously help a family member, friend or someone from the local community who is in need.
