Waterville, Maine\r\n\r\nDonna Mae Dutil 78, died Wednesday evening June 8, 2016 at Lakewood Manor in Waterville after a prolonged illness with family members at her bedside.\r\nShe was born in Lewiston, Maine on June 27, 1937 the daughter of Gordon White and Geraldine E. Tozier. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was a graduate of\r\nWaterville High School, Class of 1955. She was formerly employed as a registered nurse for many years for several nursing homes in the Waterville area. \r\nShe was a member of the Aquatic Swim Team at the Waterville Pool on North Street for 20 years. She loved the beach, camping with family members, ice skating and an accomplished \r\nSynchronized swimmer. She also enjoyed visiting Prince Edward Island with her family and friends and other outings with family members.\r\nShe is survived by her mother, Olive Daley of Prince Edward Island who brought her up from a young age, her daughter, Dorothy Currier of Winslow and two sons, David Dutil of Waterville and Benjamin Dutil of Winslow. Also by 6 grandchildren, Nicole Murphy, Samantha Moody, Asa York-Dutil, Jade Dutil, Josh Bellows and Brandon Bellows and several great-grandchildren and cousins, and her good friends, Mary Goulet and Mary Huff. She was predeceased by her father, John B. Grant with whom she was brought up from a young age, her husband Armand Dutil, her daughter Pamela Sullivan and two grandchildren, Justin Currier and David Dutil, Jr. The family would like to express a thank you to Lakewood Manor and staff for the wonderful care given to their mother and grandmother. At her request, there will be no public visiting hours and a graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Monday June 13, 2016 at Pine Grove Cemetery, Grove Street Waterville with Rev Tom Blackstone officiating.
