Waterville, Maine-Donald J. Murray 84, died Sunday morning at Veterans Administration Center at Togus, Maine with family by his side. He was born in Corinna, Maine on September 27, 1930 the son of Henry and Leona Deschaine Murray. He was educated in local schools and after being discharged from the military, he went back to school and received his GED. He was formerly employed as a cook in the military, and then was employed as a chef at various restaurants in Massachusetts. After retiring as chef, he then became employed as a drug and alcohol counselor at St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, Maine. He still enjoyed cooking for his family and friends, enjoyed gardening in his back yard and was an avid television watcher especially old western movies. He is survived by loving wife Judy Frost Murray; his step-son Frank Rock of Kentucky, his two step-daughters: Ann Marie Rock of St. Croix, Virgin Islands and Julie Lynn Rock and husband Lou West of Kentucky. Also by two step-children Ryan Dyer and Tyler Rock and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Meddy Murray. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday June 29, 2015 at the Gray Cemetery Guilford Road in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine.
