Waterville --Donald Gerard Boivin, 61, of Waterville, passed Sat., Sept. 5, 2015 at his home following an extended period of illness. Don was born in Waterville, Aug. 16, 1954, the son of William and Theresa Roy Boivin. Don was a 1972 graduate of Waterville High School. He served four years in the U.S. Army. Don had been on the custodial staff for 19 years at the Farrington Elementary School in Augusta where the students called him "Mr. Don". He had also worked in the warehouse for LaVerdiere's and at Motor Supply Company. Don enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching harness racing at the fairs. He had a great sense of humor and Work ethic and was quite a conversationalist. Don had been a long term caregiver for both his mother and Dad while they were living. Don is survived by his brother, Larry Boivin and wife Angela of Richmond; a sister, Margaret "Peggy" Sisneros and husband George of Colorado Springs, CO.; four nephews, Christopher and Scott Sisneros, and Jeffrey and Taylor Boivin; a grandniece and several grand nephews; and by a special uncle, Napoleon Roy of Waterville. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015 at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 78 Grove St., Waterville.
