Waterville -- Constance M. Collins, 92, died April 18, 2014 at Alfond Center for Care in Augusta. She was born in Topsham, Feb. 10, 1922 the daughter of Adelard and Alice Fortin Lachance. Mrs. Collins was a graduate of Topsham High School. She did volunteering at Sacred Heart Soup Kitchen. She enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting and knitting. She loved her family and friends. She looked forward to traveling internationally with her husband, Russell Collins. Mrs. Collins was a Eucharistic Minister for the homebound. Survivors include brother, Edgar and wife Connie Lachance of So. Paris; brother, David Lachance and wife Laurie of Manchester and their sons, Michael and Andrew; niece, Linda Spencer and husband Chris and their daughter, Nicole Frechette and husband Paul all of Alaska; nephew, Deacon Dean Lachance and wife Susan and their two sons, Jacob and Zachery of Windham. Her family would like to thank Goudreau Retirement in Winslow, Woodlands Senior Living in Waterville and MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 A.M., Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Sacred Heart Church, 70 Pleasant St., Waterville. Committal prayers and burial will follow at 12:00 P.M. Thursday in Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 163 Mt. Vernon Rd., Augusta.
