Clery Galarza

Waterville – Clery J. Galarza, 53, passed away peacefully at home on February 5, 2024.

He was born on January 1, 1971, the son of Angel and Awilda (Barbosa) Galarza in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He originally lived in San Juan before moving to Holyoke, Massachusetts, and then Springfield, Massachusetts where he attended and graduated from the local high school. He also graduated from Springfield Community College.

Clery was always kind to others and was an incredibly social person. He enjoyed spending time with his family, being especially close with his brother, Javier. He loved celebrating the Fourth of July and going boating on the river in the summer.

He was predeceased by his mother, as well as his brother Angel.

Clery is survived by his father Angel Galarza of Villarba, Puerto Rico; two brothers, Javier Galarza of Waterville, Hector Galarza of St. Mary, GA; three sisters, Awilda Galarza of Springfield, MA, Zoraida Galarza of Springfield, MA, and Sandra Melendez of Virginia Beach; children Nicholas Galarza of Westfield, MA, Jacob Galarza of MA, Jared Galarza of Springfield, MA, and Bella Galarza of Tremont; granddaughter Madison of Westfield, MA, several nieces and nephews, and long-time partner Pamela Savoy.
