Cleo Marie Veilleux Poulin, 81, of Waterville died Fri., Oct. 26, 2012 at Lakewood Manor. She was born in Waterville, Nov. 1, 1930 the daughter of Gideon and Ella Boulette Veilleux. Mrs. Poulin was a 1948 graduate of Waterville High School. She had been the City Clerk for the City of Waterville for many years. She was an Eucharistic Minister at Notre Dame Church. She played the organ at St. John's Parish and was involved in the children's CCD program. Mrs. Poulin was also a Brownie Leader in Winslow. She was a member of the Ladies Guild and Blessed Sacrament Honor Guard. Mrs. Poulin developed prayer services for children. For many years she helped the Servants of the Blessed Sacrament lead the prayer services for Mount Merici and St. John Catholic Schools in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. Her rapport with the children, from grades 4 through 6, was remarkable. She was predeceased by her parents and by a brother, Richard Veilleux. She is survived by a son, Michael Poulin of Methuen, MA; two daughters and their husbands, Marjorie and Bryan Michaud of Fairfield and Marlene and Bruce Clement of Benton; two grandchildren, Shanna Tice and Erica Pelkey; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; several grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012 at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Mon., Oct. 29, 2012 at Notre Dame, 116 Silver St., Waterville. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 78 Grove St., Waterville. Condolences may be expressed at gallantfh.com.
