Waterville-Cathi "Cat" Lee passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2017 with several of her family members by her side at Maine General after an extremely courageous battle with cancer.\r\n\r\nCat was born on October 8, 1958, to Earl and Theresa Jabar Lee. She graduated from Waterville High School in 1977, and continued her love of learning at the University of Maine, Orono, and then was a proud graduate of Thomas College.\r\n\r\nFor 20 years Cat was the Office Manager for Allied Adjustment Service (now Custard Insurance) where she ran the office for her older brother, Jeff, and for a few years, her younger brother, David. For the past 11 years, Cat was proudly employed as an Administrative Assistant and Events Coordinator for the Alumni Programs at Colby College. The Colby Community became her second family. Her institutional knowledge of all things reunion was renowned. She was also the coordinator of student workers for the department where she fostered many relationships.\r\n\r\nHer greatest pride and joy was her role as aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was a 2nd mother, their number one fan, and most often could be found sitting in the stands at any athletic or music event they were participating in. \r\n\r\nCathi was predeceased by her father, Earl Lee. She is survived by her mother Theresa Jabar Lee, brother Jeff Lee and wife Maureen, and their sons Shawn, Matthew and Christopher, brother David Lee and wife Jane, and their daughter Alexandria and son Nick and fiance Abby Diehl, sister Candi Chapuseaux and husband Phil and their children, Nicole and husband Michael, Danielle and fiance Jordan, Michel and wife Samantha with great niece Mia, and Taylor Chapuseaux. Her infectious smile and boisterous personality will be greatly missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers.\r\n\r\nThe family would like to thank the entire Colby Community, her "4:30 AM Gang", and her "Gilly's Girls" for their unwavering love and support. We would also like to thank Dr. Julia and the incredible staff and volunteers at the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care and the amazing nurses and staff on 2 West at Maine General who provided such excellent care and compassion.\r\n\r\nVisiting hours will be from 4 to 7PM on Thursday, January 26 at Gallant Funeral Home 10 Elm Street, Waterville. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 27, at Lorimer Chapel on the Colby College Campus.
