Carroll F. Flewelling Obituary (1931 - 2010)

Fairfield Carroll F. Flewelling, 78, of Fairfield, went to be with the Lord Fri., Apr. 23, 2010 at Oak Grove Center in Waterville. He was born in Washburn, Aug. 28, 1931 the son of Frank and Effie Flewelling. Mr. Flewelling had attended a business school and was a U.S. Air Force veteran during the Korean War. He had been a security guard at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville. He was a member of the Northeast Anglican Conference. He was a former member of the Advent Christian Church in Auburn from 1954 to 1983. He was also a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Waterville. He was a prolific reader. He was predeceased by his first wife, Geraldine Briggs; second wife, Nancy Lowell; two brothers, Cecil and Ellsworth Flewelling. Survivors include his wife, Heather Boucher Flewelling of Fairfield; son, Brian and wife Jo Flewelling of CT.; daughter, Deana B. Flewelling of Lewiston; three step-daughters, Mary Angela Emerson and husband Michael of Gorham and Nancy Cavanaugh of Winslow; two step-sons, Richard and Thomas; grandchildren, Samuel, William and Kiera of Gorham and Alyssa Cavanaugh of Winslow. Visiting hours will be held from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Sunday at the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. A Christian Funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Mon. Apr. 26, 2010 at the funeral home with Fr. Jeffrey Monroe the former Pastor at Holy Trinity Church. A Christian Burial service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Mon. at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 980 Turner St., Auburn, ME.
