Blanche Marie Bickford

Waterville Blanche Marie Bickford, 96, of Waterville died Fri. Sept. 4, 2009 at Oak Grove Center in Waterville. She was born in Augusta, Feb. 11, 1913, the daughter of Edward and Alma Arsenault Chaput. She had lived in Belgrade for most of her life. Blanche was a faithful, devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and helping with Children's Ministries at the Belgrade Bible Church. Her kind and caring ways blessed all who knew her. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Joseph Bickford who died in 1986; two sons, Warren in 1997 and Ronald in 2008; and by several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her grandchildren, Robin Corey, Viktoria Hannah, Jason Bickford of Arizona, Kelly Rose, Melody Tinkham and special nieces, Alice Damren and her daughter Cindy Kennedy; five great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Susan Bickford of Belgrade. The family would like to express a thank you to Oak Grove staff for all their caring and assistance. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009 in Pine Grove Cemetery, Rt. 135 in Belgrade with Rev. Larry Wiles officiating. Arrangements are with the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville.
