OAKLAND -- Arlene E. Matulis Stalilonis, 89, of Oakland, Maine, formerly of Worcester, Mass., died Friday, Feb. 25 at Inland Hospital, Waterville. Her husband of 44 years, Bernard P. Stalilonis, died in 1985. She leaves four sons, Bernard P. Stalilonis Jr. and his wife. Karen, of Lakeland, Fl., Robert P. Stalilonis and his wife, Angele Patenaude, of Biddeford, William S. Stalilonis and his wife, Kathleen, of Worcester, Mass., and Peter J. Stalilonis of Oakland; a brother, Walter Matulis of Upton, Mass.; nine grandchildren; a great granddaughter; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two sisters, Nellie Chuplis and Ann Roman. She was born in the Morningdale section of Boylston, the daughter of Peter and Monica Mans Laskey Matulis, and lived in Worcester for most of her life. Mrs. Stalilonis was an engraver for the former Woodbury Company. She was an active member of Christ the King Church and enjoyed candlepin bowling and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. The funeral is Wednesday, March 2 at 10 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street, Worcester, Mass. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, Mass.
